Adrian Hogendoorn joined the executive as Treasurer in early 2026 after the passing of past President Cynthia left a major gap in leadership. He took over as President on May 1, 2026, and has been leading HAPEOTL ever since.
Adrian has been teaching since 2011, first with Durham District School Board, moving over to HPEDSB in 2021.
Active with ETFO and the Durham OT/Contract locals since the start of his career, Adrian put in service on the New Teachers/First Five Years committee and helped facilitate educational and social events specifically geared towards new members.
Such events included Benefits & Bowling, Yoga, Rock Climbing, various restaurant/pub crawls, and more.
Now, Adrian sits on the Status/Equity committee, New Member committee, and Political Action committee, as well as webmaster.
When not teaching, Adrian enjoys travel, hiking, swimming, and farms in Wallbridge, Ontario.
